A refined pair of Wedgwood jasperware candlesticks in the classic pale blue ground with crisp white applied reliefs. Each candlestick is decorated with neoclassical scenes—draped classical figures, trees, and scrolling foliage—arranged in continuous friezes around the base and stem. The matte finish and sculptural detailing are hallmarks of jasperware at its best: precise, restrained, and quietly architectural.

Jasperware was perfected by Josiah Wedgwood. The blue-and-white colourway remains the most iconic and most sought after, closely associated with Wedgwood’s neoclassical period and its dialogue with ancient Greek and Roman art.
